Health:
1.       Drink plenty of water.
2.       Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
3.       Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants..
4.       Live with the 3 E’s — Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy
5.       Make time to pray.
6.       Play more games
7.       Read more books than you did in 2009
.
8.       Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day
9.       Sleep for 7 hours.
10.    Take a 10-30 minutes walk daily. And while you walk, smile.


Personality
:
11.    Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
12.    Don’t have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
13.    Don’t over do. Keep your limits.
14.    Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
15.    Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip.
16.    Dream more while you are awake
17.    Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need..
18.    Forget issues of the past. Don’t remind your partner with His/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.

The Mayonnaise Jar

When things in your life seem, almost too much to handle,
When 24 Hours in a day is not enough,
Remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class
and had some items in front of him.
When the class began, wordlessly,
He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar
And proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students, if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured
them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly.
The pebbles rolled into the open Areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.
Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous ‘yes.’

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively
filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

‘Now,’ said the professor, as the laughter subsided,
‘I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.
The golf balls are the important things – family,
children, health, Friends, and Favorite passions –
Things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, Your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car.

The sand is everything else –The small stuff.

‘If you put the sand into the jar first,’ He continued,
there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.
The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff,
You will never have room for the things that are important to you.

So…

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Play With your children.
Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your partner out to dinner.

There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.

‘Take care of the golf balls first –
The things that really matter.
Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.’

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled.
‘I’m glad you asked’.

It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem,
there’s always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.’

Mathematical Logic

This comes from 2 math teachers with a combined total of 70 yrs. experience

Here is a little something someone sent me that is indisputable mathematical logic. It also made me Laugh Out Loud.
This is a strictly mathematical viewpoint….it goes like this:

What Makes 100%? What does it mean to give MORE than 100%? Ever wonder about those people who say they are giving more than 100%? We have all been to those meetings where someone wants you to give over 100%. How about achieving 103%? What makes up 100% in life?

Here’s a little mathematical formula that might help you answer these questions:

If:

is represented as:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26.

Then:

H-A-R-D-W-O-R-K

But,

A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E
1+20+20+9+20+21+4+5 = 100%

And,

AND, look how far ass kissing will take you.

So, one can conclude with

mathematical certainty, that While Hard work and Knowledge will get you close, and Attitude will get you there, it’s the Bullshit and Ass Kissing that will put you over the top.

Just Fred (joke)

A cop stops a Harley for traveling faster than the posted speed limit,
so he asks the biker his name.

‘Fred,’ he replies.

‘Fred what?’ the officer asks.

‘Just Fred,’ the man responds.

The officer is in a good mood and thinks he might just give the biker a break and, write him out a warning instead of a ticket. The officer then presses him for the last name.

The man tells him that he used to have a last name but lost it. The officer thinks that he has a nut case on his hands but plays along with it. ‘Tell me, Fred, how did you lose your last name?’

The biker replies, ‘It’s a long story, so stay with me.’ I was born Fred Johnson.
I studied hard and got good grades..

When I got older, I realized that I wanted to be a doctor. I went through college, medical school, internship, residency, and finally got my degree, so I was Fred Johnson, MD. After a while I got bored being a doctor, so I decided to go back to school.

Dentistry was my dream! Got all the way through School, got my degree, so then I was Fred Johnson, MD, DDS.

Got bored doing dentistry, so I started fooling around with my assistant and she gave me VD, so now I was Fred Johnson, MD, DDS, with VD.

Well, the ADA found out about the VD, so they took away my DDS.

Then I was Fred Johnson, MD, with VD. Then the AMA found out about the ADA taking away my DDS because of the VD, so they took away my MD leaving me as Fred Johnson with VD.

Then the VD took away my Johnson, so now I am Just Fred.’

The officer walked away in tears, laughing

Its been a minute since I have posted!

November 10th, 2009

My life has been an interesting ride lately! I’ve been inspired by 1 of my tribemembers so my life is taking off! The law of attraction is working overtime for me bringing in people, and opportunities that I would have never dreamed of! I’ve also started training again.

Physically I am doing the 5 tibetans every day and will be start Shaolin Butterfly from Monster Martial Arts. Sensei Al Case knows what he is talking about and has truly inspired me! I’m also eating better! I’ve always eaten fruit and veggies(as my friends know!), but I am making better choices in the other foods I eat. I am cutting down on fast food(which leads to a fast death!) and slowly shifting to better options. Changing 1 thing at a time is easier than trying to overhaul your entire eating habits.

Mentally I am getting my mind right. I’ve been interested in the Law of Attraction and Manifestation for a long time and now I have found what I was looking for! I just started using Attractor Genie and I am thoroughly happy! This software combines several different programs into a 1 stop shop for manifesting change in your life. Its a personal information manager, a subliminal message player, a vision board creator(takes less than a minute when you know how), a mindmovie creator and you can also chart your way to success by creating mindmaps. I am completely blown away with what you can do with this software. I will be using this software daily! I’m already seeing changes for the better in me! I’m also doing a brain management course called Zox. Weird name but a fun course! Its all about using more of your brainpower. Increasing your lateral thinking abilities.

Spiritually I’ve started the Silva Mind Control method. Mind control as in controlling your own mind not anyone elses! The Silva method shows you how to meditate so that you can reestablish and strengthen your connection with Higher Self. I’m calmer and more grounded and definitely happier!

I’ve got alot on my plate yet I don’t feel weighted down. I do what needs to be done and keep on learning, loving and growing. I’ve also started my Daily Digest again so I am helping to inspire others and myself all at the same time! I love my life!

What a week I am having!

October 22nd, 2009

it all started last friday night! I was talking with Isabelle and she helped me remember something. I no longer have a desire to work with anyone I dont like! Which means that I should work for myself! I thank you my Goddess Isabelle for helping me do what I need to get done!

Then the Law of Attraction started to kick in like a 1 legged man in an ass kicking contest! Saturday morning I woke up and decided that I needed to work on my place of power…my room! When I left to go to Bahrain I moved 99% of my stuff into storage. Well I left 2 bags of clothes in my car trunk and 2 bags in the house. I went thru all of the bags of clothes and ended up dropping off 2 bags of clothes at the Disabled Veterans Thrift shop(I always help my fellow veterans where I can!).

Then I went to my storage unit. when I got there I got a call from someone attached to a website where I had requested information for an online business almost 2 years ago! I set up an appointment to talk to them later because they need you to be in front of a computer. Plus i found some good stuff in my storage unit for the house. I found my books on thailand so that will be great motivation for setting things up for my 5th trip there.

I had to go to 2 targets in the area, plus bed bath and beyond. When I was leaving Target’s parking lot I was thinking about the fact I dont have my tea maker from teavana and that I really would like one. For some reason I looked up and saw staples and had a desire to go there. I went and was walking around the store trying to figure why i was in there. Then I looked down. There was a coffee press! I used Isabelle’s coffee press to make tea when I went to visit her, so I knew it could work(most of my teas are loose teas). I picked one up and walked around the store some more to see what else I needed. I found some other office products i needed then walked to the counter and pay for them and zoomed on home.

I was supposed to go up to Richmond to visit my friend Nina but I wasnt able to. Everything happens for a reason. As soon as I found out I couldnt see her, I saw a familiar name log onto Skype. It was Heidi from my Warrior Tribe the Dancing Wolves! We started chatting and I found out that she was in Va Beach for the weekend doing a women’s circle. We set up to meet the next day and I started working around the house. I put all of my clothes on hangers then started working on folding the rest while I was chatting on and off with friends online and watching movies.

On sunday I went to see Heidi and we had a ball! First of all I met the women from her circle. I spoke to everyone and shook their hands. Then I met the “mom” asked me when I was bringing their girl home and I answer in true fashion and had everyone laughing. This isnt the first time I have had to answer a parent. Anyway Heidi and I talked about everything under the sun and moon (that’s yin/yang)for about 4hrs at this seafood restaurant and had a ball. I felt better just being around Heidi…true healing takes nothing other than spirit! Anyway I dropped her off and went home and worked on a few projects and went to sleep with a big smile on my face.

I woke up monday morning full of energy and did the 5 tibetan rites and was ready for work. Then i realised I had lost my padfolio with some gift cards in it. I didnt miss a beat I just said someone else needed them more than i did and didnt think anything else about it except to send a text to Heidi asking if she had seen it. Fortunately one of the girls did find it and I got it from her later on that day! The key has been to never get upset about things. Thats why good things keep happening!

Had a Ball Last Weekend!

October 15th, 2009

I went home for my 20th High School Reunion. I didnt even know that friday was going to be an off day at work until wednesday. So I decided to drive instead of use my free plane ticket and surprise my mom! She called me right after i backed out of the driveway getting ready to head out. She asked me when I was going to be there. I told her the next day and quickly got off the phone. 9hrs later I made it to Cincy! I had time for a shower and change of clothes before my mom popped in the door! Was she surprised! Screamed her head off.

Then I went off to my High School Homecoming game. I saw some of my classmates (YES Cara I remembered you…your face didnt change!) and we sat in the rain watching the game until halftime(we were losing 7/14) then went to Balboas for the Reunion meet and greet! Balboas was a trip! Seeing people I havent seen in 20 years. Its funny faces dont change all that much. I recognized alot of people. I saw my ace YGEA and then the party really started. I havent changed much over the years. yes I gained 30 lbs but I look good! When I was in High School I looked like a crackhead I was so skinny! Peronality wise I am still crazy as ever! Hugging people, chatting with folks and making people laugh is what I do! As usual there was a corner where all the black folks was at…just like in high school and I came back there and talked with everyone. Some of my boys commented on my pics of my thai friends so we talked about going to Thailand. I’ve been there 4 times and spent 71 days there so I gave them some good tips. I got home at 130am and woke up at 7am! Jackie (my mom’s boyfriend) cooked breakfast while we got ready. I had to make a quick trip up to Indianapolis to drop off some equipment(mini laptop, dvd burner, external hard drive, mp3 player) to Katrina a good friend of mine who will be working on some projects for me. Its part of my plan to make my life better and help her make hers better! (I love win win situations!) My mom came with me, I think she needed it. Whenever I go home we usually go out to eat and to the bookstore and the last few times I have been home we havent been able to to it. Plus I know my mom worries when I am in the Middle East! We talked alot in the car and I told her a little bit about my life in Bahrain and about JR(I call him my son but he is actually my Godson, and Joy JR’s mother and my best friend)

I didnt go to any other reunion events. I am still fighting jet lag and that 9hr drive didnt help! On sunday, I started working on my mom’s laptop…removing old programs, installing better ones so mom and get online and setup her facebook page! Since I knew I was leaving on monday and tuesday was mom’s bday this was just a way to make her happy. It took me until monday at 2pm before I got her laptop together. I closed it down, took a shower, packed and jumped into my car. I got home at 1am went to sleep and woke up at 6 to go to work. Still feeling tired!

My college homecoming is this weekend! I dont think I’ll be making that one! I am NOT up for a 8hr drive! So I will definitely be chilling this weekend. Plus I need to get my room taken care of! It’s cluttered right now. Stuff is everywhere! I am sorting thru clothes to donate to Goodwill and what I will keep. I give myself 2 weeks to get my room back to normal! Anyway enough for now!

Looking forward to the weekend!

You know its funny. It looked like I wasnt going to be able to attend my 20th High School Reunion because I was overseas but now that I’m back in the states I am really looking forward to it! I’m going to see some people I havent seen in 20 years! 2 decades! Thats a long time and time does change people! I plan to take alot of pics and I’ll definitely be posting them on my facebook page. Come to think about it I need to upload some pics I took in Thailand and Bahrain too!

It’s been a long time!

October 5th, 2009

Some much has happened since my last post! I went to thailand and got the flu the day after I got there! I was coughing up some green stuff for 3 days! I got a chance to see most of the thai friends…Mel, Mai, On, Nadia, Dragon Tattoo Tina and made some new firends Champoo(who’s a friend of Joy), and Aura. I didnt get a chance to see Methaya :( and I’m not to happy about that! She had added a spa to her list of businesses (real estate agent, dj, model….) next time I’m in Patong I will have to check it out! Thanks to Tony for letting me stay at his villa in Kamala. I want a place like that! I will add some pics to this post later on. Staying at his place was peaceful. Waking up in the morning going outside to dip in the pool. Looking up and seeing a green covered mountain not to far away and hearing the Muslim call to prayer.

I left Bahrain 24 Sep and I havent been to happy since! I miss my friends in Bahrain. I miss Joy and JR(my Godson that everyone thinks is mine). Joy is my best friend and knows me better than anyone. She gave me a going away party right before I left. I wasnt feeling to well that day(back has been bothering me) but I did appreciate her efforts.

I think my body is on East Coast time finally! This past weekend I was all over the place. On saturday I left the house at 10 am to get some things. I got home at 7 pm. I visited 2 health food stores, a bookstore(where I met an old naval flight officer), did my 8 pieces of silk brocade exercises in a stand of bamboo at the A.R.E., got my hair cut, went to the navy and airforce exchanges. No wonder my gas tank is almost on E! I’ve spent the weekend alone, chatting with friends online, talking to a few on the phone but really just working on getting myself better. I have alot of training to do! I’m getting back in the swing of things and there are going to be some interesting things happening soon! This upcoming weekend is my 20th high school reunion! I cant wait!

I am ready to go to thailand!

August 7th, 2009

I finally finished up my travel plans for my belated birthday vacation to thailand! You just dont know how happy this makes me feel! My flight leaves bahrain 2045 on 18 Aug. I get there at 730 on the 19th. Thanks to Mel I will be checking into my hotel at 9! She hooked me up with a place that she normally stays in when she is visiting Bangkok. She knows the manager. He gave me a discount…only 1300 a day plus I will have high speed internet. I will also talk to him because he knows alot of people and I am looking to get a job in thailand. I’m still going to be doing my internet marketing. Having a job gives me a legal reason to reside in thailand! I’ve talked to my friends there. I am getting 3 seperate birthday parties! I’ve talked to my friend Martin Hurley Author of Your Thai Girl and we are going to meet when I am in on the island of Phuket. He’s been helping me work on my very own guide to Thailand. Its a work in progress but I plan to have it done by mid september. Plane tickets bought, hotel arrangements made. All I need to do is pack and get my ass on the plane on the 18th! Only 11 more days!
