Fruit and Veggie Fast Day 7! It’s over!

Today is the last day of my fast!  I’m feeling much better today.  I have some head congestion, I’m not sure if that is from the fast, my allergies or that I am getting the bug that is going around our house.  Honestly I feel better, no aches and pains and I am full of energy.  I tell you one thing, I am drinking alot more water now, the more I drink the better I feel.  I literally inhaled a green apple this morning!  I slept about 6 hours last night.  I was up late last night working on a couple of things and watching Anime(gotta watch my bleach!).

Overall I feel this fast was a success!   Now its time to make a few things happy!

Fruit and Veggie Fast Day 6

Today has been a pretty good day.  I slept like a log and woke up feeling fine.  I guess I was having the detox blues yesterday.  Since I’ve been up, I have had a shake, killed the last banana, ate a green apple and had a huge salad for lunch and drank alot of water.  I have been working in the basement so I worked up a sweat and drank alot more water.  I think that might have been the problem yesterday.  I had been drinking lemon ginger tea but not drinking alot of water.   I’m ready to break this fast!  Tomorrow is the last day!

Fruit and Veggie Fast Day 5 16 Nov 2012

This picture says it all….or maybe not!  Lol…today is just a shitty day on this fast.  I woke up with a stuffy head and thristy as hell.  I havent eaten much today, a salad, a banana and lots of water.  I’m going to eat this orange and a pomergranate.  The potato chips on top of the refrigerator looks really good right about now and I’m craving wings!  I’ve been working on online projects really hard this week and my body is telling me something and I’m going to listen!  I’m going to watch a movie while I munch on fruit.  Only 2 more days!

Fruit and Veggie Fast Day 4 15 Nov 2012

Yesterday was kinda interesting.  I had alot of energy.  Today makes 4 days since I have had meat or any processed food.   Everyone else in the house is sick with the flu and I am have a detox crisis along with my allergies flaring up! (Hell I didnt even know I had allergies until I moved into this house!)

I could only drink half of my green shake yesterday.  16 ounces was good enough for my body.   I had a fruit salad for lunch.  Pineapple, red apple and various grapes.

I kinda grazed on this all day along with a bananna not feeling the slightest bit hungry.  So I guess this are going well.   I’ve also been drinking alot of lemon water…just lemon juice squeezed into plain water.  Just for variety.  The water around here tastes funny to me.  If you freeze water you will smell the chlorine when you open the bottle up! :O  I killed the other half of my green drink this morning and its time for a lunch break!

Fruit and Veggie Fast Day 3

I am enjoying this fast.  I made a green shake yesterday and sipped it on and off most of the day.   Dinner was a funny salad.  I normally use spinach but this time I just put some cut up veggies in a bowl, spiced it up and used an oil and vinegar dressing. 

It was pretty good!  With all the sick people in this house I am making sure I am drinking enough water.  They were roasting me up in here.  My energy level is staying high and I am sleeping better.  This is an easy diet to stick to despite everyone else in the house being in carnivore mode.  Jackie was cooking bacon this morning.  I wasnt even phased.   Going to make a fruit salad!

Fruit and Veggie Fast Day 2

I do feel better today.  I did learn a lesson yesterday.  Because I’m not eating any meat I thought that I needed to fill up so for dinner I started fixing this huge salad.  I stopped myself when i was half done.  I didnt need the huge salad!  The bowl I was using was big enough that you could have sat a volleyball on top of it and it would have fit just right! Here’s what I put in my salad:

  • baby spinach (I never use lettuce)
  • raisins (Hey! this is MY salad! ;))
  • walnuts
  • sunflower seeds
  • flaxseeds
  • cucumbers
  • mushrooms
  • cherry tomatoes
  • olive oil
  • coconut oil
  • lemon juice
  • cajun seasoning
  • lemon pepper
  • pinch of sea salt

It was pretty good and I was very satisfied!  I have a handful of grapes and a pomegranate for dessert.  All in all day 1 was pretty good.   Also I have stepped up my water intake by adding juice from a lemon to my water.  Drinking plain water isnt always fun!  Time to make my green shake for the day!

Time to clean up my act!

With the changing of the seasons and the chaos that has been going on in my life I have decided to do a fruit and veggie fast.  Just bought some fruit and veggies a little while ago and now its time to begin!  :D I think I might start doing some video blogs tomorrow!
